We are both passionate about succeeding in a less traditional way, and helping others to do the same. How can a small business grow quickly whilst retaining it’s core culture? What is important for expanding organisations to consider so they beat the competition? How do you ensure you are effectively leveraging the talent in your organisation? What has COVID done for remote working? Without the constraints of a corporate structure, are we better equipped to handle unprecedented change?

Ed – A totally passionate financial research professional and “still trying” entrepreneur with one epic failure behind me that has grown me more than I could ever have imagined. I’ve sold and developed business on 3 continents and in over 30 countries and care so much about the value of knowledge. The transmission of knowledge to those that need it and the way that the “knowledge” is priced should be greatly enhanced and I believe that this would improve the way businesses operate the world over. The world has changed beyond anything that someone born in the 70s would have thought possible but business hasn’t evolved enough. The greatest of resources still sits with the people that it employs. It needs more work, disruption and transparency. That can be done from anywhere in the world. I am choosing to do it from France, with my wife”.
Nicola – I left Bloomberg after 10 years working as an HR Business Partner, Talent Partner and Recruiter. It was hard to leave but it was time for a change – I was ready to leave the corporate world but I was leaving behind a truly fantastic team of people. People who I was inspired by, motivated by and (especially over the last 12 months) kept sane by. I felt privileged to be leaving on such a high and motivated to find new ways to work with such inspiring people. I am currently doing a coaching course with Coaching Development – and will eventually launch my own HR Consulting and Coaching business. The plan is to focus on career coaching (both for experienced professionals and those just starting out after school) and leadership coaching. Obviously earning a salary is a driver for this, but I am also passionate about helping people see the best in themselves and achieving their full potential.
